Representatives of the CIET at the ERI “UEPA" completed the Board&Tea project under the Move On programme

Students Maksym BATURIN and Kyrylo KOSHARNYI, employees of the Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies of the ERI “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, as part of their Board&Tea project, have completed a series of meetings aimed at resocialisation, psychological support and stress reduction among young people, helping internally displaced persons to adapt through games and creative activities.

The Board&Tea project was created to bring people together in a safe, friendly environment. During the project, participants took part in themed game rooms, creative art sessions, made new friends, and developed interaction skills through collaborative play.

The project included:

- classes integrating elements of art therapy and board game sessions;

- informal conversations between participants during coffee breaks;

- surveys of group members about their personal impressions.

Visitors to the meetings had the opportunity to:

- develop a wish map;

- draw their own mantra aimed at working through their own state;

- shape their own fears and talismans out of air plasticine;

- take an active part in a series of board games.

In conclusion, it is worth noting that after each session, the members of the Board&Tea project team continue to receive feedback and gratitude from participants, as well as requests for further meetings.

The project has shown that there is a constant need among young people for such events, as they need live communication, which has decreased due to the full-scale invasion.

The Board&Tea project was developed and implemented as part of the Move On programme, which supports young people through training, mentoring and funding for their own initiatives. It is being implemented as part of the Youth Empowerment Programme Ukraine, with the support of Schüler Helfen Leben.

The students and administration of the ERI “UEPA” of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University express their gratitude to the organisers and donors of the events for the opportunity to participate in initiatives and training, gain knowledge in person and implement their own initiatives!
