Training centre for foreign citizens

The Training Centre for Foreign Citizens of the ERI “UEPA” was founded in 2000. The centre provides pre-university training for foreign students for further study at the Academy and other Ukrainian HEIs in engineering, technical, medical, biological and humanitarian fields; ensures the admission of foreign students to study in accredited specialities of the Academy; controls the passport and visa regime for foreign students in Ukraine.

Foreign students from China, Vietnam, Iran, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan and other countries study here.

Training of foreign students at the preparatory department

Foreign citizens are admitted to study without restrictions on the grounds of race, skin colour, political, religious and other beliefs, property status, place of residence or language of communication.

During one year of study, students acquire the necessary knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and other humanities along with learning the Ukrainian language. Foreign citizens who successfully pass the final exams receive a state-issued certificate, which entitles them to further study at Ukrainian higher education institutions.

To enter the Preparatory Department, a foreign applicant must submit the following documents:

  • national passport with an entry visa type ‘D’. The visa can be obtained at the Consulate of Ukraine in your home country on the basis of a personalised Invitation letter issued by the Academy;

  • original and notarised and legalised copy of the document on secondary education (10-12 years of study) with a translation into Ukrainian in accordance with the established procedure, indicating grades (points);

  • a notarised and duly legalised copy of the birth certificate with a translation into Ukrainian;

  • a duly legalised medical certificate of health, which was issued no later than 2 months before departure for study in Ukraine;

  • a duly legalised document confirming the absence of HIV infection;

  • a return ticket with an open date;

  • 6 6×4 cm photos.

Payment for training at the Preparatory Department is made by the student or a representative of the intermediary company at the ERI “UEPA”.

Duration of study. The academic year consists of 2 semesters - autumn and spring.

For admission to study in accredited specialities, foreign applicants must provide the following documents:

  • a national passport;

  • original and notarised copy of a document on secondary or higher education with indication of disciplines and grades (points) obtained at the Consulate of Ukraine and translation into Ukrainian, certified by a notary; a diploma of higher education obtained in the home country must be certified;

  • certificate of graduation from a preparatory faculty (department) of Ukraine;

  • a notarised copy of the birth certificate with a Ukrainian translation;

  • a medical certificate on the state of health, which was issued no later than 2 months before applying to the Academy;

  • a document confirming the absence of HIV infection;

  • 6 6×4 cm photos.

International students can be provided with accommodation in a dormitory if necessary.
