Kyrylo KOSHARNYI, representative of the Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies at the ERI “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, took part in a five-day training course organised by the Kharkiv branch of the Medicos del Mundo Association.
From 3 to 7 November 2025, an intensive training course for facilitators was held in Kharkiv under the programme “Important Skills in Times of Stress”. The main objective of the training was to prepare specialists to effectively conduct training sessions and practical classes on the application of psychosocial support methods and stress management techniques for different population groups in communities. Over the course of five days, participants familiarised themselves with the theoretical foundations of the programme and its adaptation for different audiences. They actively practised key psychosocial support techniques, including active listening and first psychological aid tools. Particular attention was paid to developing facilitation skills and working effectively with participants in a state of stress, as well as self-help mechanisms. All practical sessions were conducted under the guidance of experienced trainers. The training proved to be not only a source of in-depth knowledge, but also a powerful platform for sharing experiences, professional development and strengthening the network of psychosocial support specialists in the Kharkiv region.
