A representative of CIET and lecturer at the Department of Marketing and Commercial Business of the ERI “UEPA” successfully completed the Staff School of the AVA City Volunteer School

 

 

Tetiana KOSTROVA, representative of the Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies, lecturer at the Department of Marketing and Commercial Business of the ERI “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy”, successfully graduated from the Staff School of the AVA City Volunteer School. The programme became part of the curriculum of the AVA City Volunteer School, an informal education project that promotes the volunteer movement, develops the youth of Kharkiv, and prepares a new generation of leaders, coordinators, and mentors for volunteer teams.

On 4 and 5 November, participants learned how to:

- foster a healthy team environment;

- support volunteers in stressful situations;

- communicate effectively, lead and make decisions with limited deadlines.

A special part of the programme was a block from practical psychologist and member of the National Psychological Association of Ukraine Veronika Amrakhova, who spoke about psychological support for volunteers, the importance of tolerance and the ability to respond to emotional states within a team.

At the end of the training, 30 participants received certificates from the director of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports of the Kharkiv City Council, confirming their readiness to coordinate volunteer initiatives in Kharkiv.
