On 13 June, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Dmytro Zavhorodnii visited the Education and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy". The meeting was dedicated to the ways of developing vocational education in the country and the concept of training specialists for industry. In particular, the participants visited the Festo laboratory, which is in the final stages of preparation for opening.
The idea of creating such a laboratory was announced more than a year ago when Dmytro Zavhorodnii, together with the Rector of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Tetiana Kahanovska and the Rector of UEPA Denys Kovalenko, discussed the directions of vocational education development at a meeting at the Ministry of Education and Science. With the financial support of the World Bank, equipment from the well-known manufacturer of educational equipment Festo was purchased.
The safe room of the ERI “UEPA” has been renovated, and the equipment is currently being installed in the newly created laboratory.
Denys Kovalenko, Director of the ERI “UEPA", together with Artem Cherniuk, Acting Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering, presented the newly created Festo laboratory to the audience, including the Deputy Minister, Vice-Rectors of Karazin University Borys Samorodov and Vasyl Blyndiuk, as well as Olha Shapoval, Executive Director of Kharkiv IT Claster.
