The Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies of the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy" of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University held an educational film lecture dedicated to the Europe Day.
Every year on 9 May, Europeans commemorate the 1950 Schuman Declaration, a bold vision of peace and cooperation in post-war Europe. This declaration, proposed by French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman, laid the foundation for the European Union. Europe Day is a global celebration of awareness and recognition of European values.
During the film lecture, the students watched three films on environmental issues made as part of the EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal educational project.
Three films were presented to the students:
- Lake of Apples: about the harmony of man and nature near Lake Prespa.
- Bike Stories: about sustainable lifestyles through cycling culture.
- Home: an aerial tour of the Earth with a call to protect nature.
The project is available free of charge thanks to Creative Europe MEDIA and the main sponsors: The Vienna Insurance Group with local brands USG, Kniazha and Kniazha Life, as well as Cineplexx International, the VAM Audiovisual Media Collection Society and the Ministry of Public Administration of Slovenia.
