Visit to the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (Spain) within ERASMUS+ KA171 ICM

 

The International Staff Week was held at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (Spain) from 05 to 09 May. Participants from Albania, Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Slovenia, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Costa Rica, Mexico, Latvia, Lithuania, India, Chile, Brazil, Malaysia, Nepal, Italy, Morocco, Jordan, Colombia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Nigeria and other countries, 32 in total, came to take part in the events. 

By the international mobility programme Erasmus+ KA171 within the international staff week, Karazin University was represented by the Director of the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy" of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Denys KOVALENKO; Deputy Director of the ERI “UEPA”, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Maryna VASYLIEVA; Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Roman NESTERENKO.

The main idea of the week was the slogan "From tradition to innovation", which reflects the main trends in the development of education and science in the global context. The rich programme of events included presentations of international educational initiatives; artificial intelligence workshops at universities; discussions on the role of international projects in building educational cooperation; and an interactive session dedicated to Europe Day.

Participation in the International Week provided an opportunity to get acquainted with innovations in research and educational activities of higher education institutions around the world, and to make plans for further cooperation. The cultural programme offered by the organisers (a tour of the historical part of Cartagena with its cultural traditions; a boat trip along the coast of the military fortress) allowed the participants to continue communicating in an informal setting and establish interaction.
