Representatives of the Department of International Relations of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the team of the ERASMUS+ EUComplianceM4UA project "Implementation of the European Approach of Compliance Management in Higher Education in Ukraine” visited Kyiv on 24 April 2025, where they took part in a briefing "Crossing Borders through Compliance Management Education: Germany and Ukraine" and held fruitful negotiations with representatives of the business school of the Wismar University of Applied Sciences, Technology, Business and Design (Hochschule Wismar), Germany.
The format of the event was designed to emphasise the importance of German-Ukrainian cooperation, the value of compliance management education, the role of Erasmus+ support in securing funding for projects in Ukraine, the critical role of compliance for managers in the field of education and science, and future priorities for institutional and academic development.
The briefing was moderated by Iryna Shteimiller, Head of the International Relations Department of Karazin University.

After the briefing, Professor Ali Arnaout gave an open lecture on "The Role of Compliance Management in the Current Globalisation Landscape” for students and faculty of the economics faculties of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and Central Ukrainian National Technical University.
In his lecture, Professor Ali Arnaout focused on compliance management, a modern tool for the business world that helps companies comply with regulations, laws and ethics, prove their integrity to international partners and be sure that the truth is on your side in crisis situations.
After the public lecture, representatives of Hochschule Wismar, Professor Ali Arnaout and Dr. Anna Fomenko held talks with the deans of three leading Ukrainian economics faculties, namely Professor Anzhela Ihnatiuk, Faculty of Economics, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Associate Professor Vitalii Diachek, Faculty of Economics, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, and Professor Nataliia Shalimova, Faculty of Economics, Central Ukrainian National Technical University.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation in launching double diplomas in international management, preparing joint educational and research projects, and international student and teacher exchanges between Germany and Ukraine.
