Deputy Director of the ERI “UEPA” O. Kupriianov was awarded for organising the University Programming Cup 2025

On 27 April, NTU KhPI hosted the closing ceremony of the University Programming Cup 2025, a large-scale competition involving students, pupils, and even teachers. The competition was aimed at mass rather than elite, so as many people as possible could participate from each educational institution, and the winner-university was determined by summing up the points of all its participants. In total, representatives of 48 educational institutions from 18 regions of Ukraine were involved in the programming competition, but Kharkiv was more widely represented than other regions. The Cup was organised by Kharkiv IT Claster and the Q-Bit Youth Scientific Society.

N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took the second place in the University Programming Cup 2025. The gap with the first place was insignificant, and the gap with the third place was substantial. Therefore, we can be proud of the fact that KhNU is closer to the first place than to the third.
In addition to the absolute second place, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University won among all educational institutions that teach speciality F3 Computer Science.

If we analyse the details of the competition, we will find the following. In total, 46 students from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University received non-zero results, which is 18.8% of all participants and 24.7% of the number of students. Thus, it can be emphasised that a quarter of the students - active participants of the competition - were from Kharkiv National University.
As for the teachers who participated in the competition, there were two of them from KhNU: Andrii Rohov, Associate Professor of the Department of Information Technologies and Mathematical Modelling of Karazin Banking Institute, and Oleksandr Kupriianov, Professor of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics of the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy”.
Oleksandr Kupriianov also received a commendation for organising Karazin University's participation in the Cup.
