Representatives of the ERI “UEPA” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University are actively involved in key initiatives for the development of Ukraine's economy

 

Representatives of the ERI “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” - Head of the Department of Economics and Management, Professor Viktoriia PROKHOROVA, Assistant Krystyna SLASTIANYKOVA and Dean of the Faculty of Economics of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Associate Professor Vitalii DIACHEK - took part in the All-Ukrainian Forum "Industrial Evolution” on 24 April 2025 in Kyiv. The event brought together Ukrainian business leaders, government officials, international experts and scientists to discuss ways to develop the economy, industrial parks and modern technologies.
The Industrial Evolution Forum was organised at the initiative of Vasyl KHMELNYTSKYI, a well-known Ukrainian entrepreneur and founder of UFuture, a holding company that unites companies in the fields of real estate, manufacturing, technology and education. Vasyl Khmelnytskyi is also the initiator of industrial parks, such as Bila Tserkva Industrial Park, and actively advocates the development of Ukrainian industry through the introduction of modern technologies and investment.

The forum participants had the opportunity to:
- join the opening of Peikko Group's plant with the participation of CEO Topi Paananen, Ambassador of Finland to Ukraine Tarja Fernandes and Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk;
- listen to panel discussions on the development of a strong economy, growth of Made in Ukraine production, prospects for factories of the future and the role of innovation and technology in the new economy;
- exchange experience with leading speakers, including: Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine; Viktor Mykyta, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine; Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine; Dmytro Kysylevskyi, Ukrainian MP, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development; Ruslan Illichov, Director General of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine; Vitalii Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and others.

The discussions focused on investment in the real sector of the economy, the development of industrial park ecosystems, international cooperation, and the role of education in shaping the workforce for the new economy.
As part of the event, Professor Viktoria PROKHOROVA had the opportunity to discuss with Vasyl KHMELNYTSKYI the role of education in strengthening the economy and ways to enhance cooperation between universities and businesses.
The participation of representatives of the academic community of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in this event confirms the desire to introduce modern practices into the educational process, expand international relations and develop cooperation with business and government agencies in the period of post-crisis reconstruction of Ukraine.
