As part of the ERASMUS + project "MOOC-based micro-credentials for teacher professional development” (CRED4TEACH), on 10 April 2025, the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics of the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University held a round table discussion "Microcredentials based on massive open online courses”.
The purpose of the event was to introduce the project to teachers of secondary education institutions, teachers of specialised secondary, vocational, extracurricular, and professional pre-higher education institutions, and to explain how microcredential curricula can be integrated into a teacher's daily workload.
During the meeting, the Acting Head of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Olesia NECHUIVITER introduced the international and Ukrainian partners of the CRED4TEACH project and spoke about the possibility of obtaining microcredentials through massive open online courses.
The speaker of the event, Head of the Accreditation Team, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Andrii LOMAKIN presented the pan-European structure of micro-qualifications and explained how short-term, modular programmes can be more easily integrated into the daily workload of a teacher, and Deputy Director of the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy”, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Oleksandr KUPRIIANOV in his speech focused on the microcredential training programmes piloted within the CRED4TEACH project, which are recognised by the National Qualifications Agency.
Representatives of Vasyl' Stus Donetsk National University (Vinnytsia) and V. Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University (Kropyvnytskyi) took a constructive part in the professional discussion and exchange of ideas.
