The Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies of the ERI “UEPA” in partnership with the “Innovative Generation” NGO held a training on social school entrepreneurship for the Blyzniukivska community

 

On 10 April, activists of the "Innovation Generation” NGO and specialists from the Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies of the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University conducted a training on social school entrepreneurship (SSE) at the Blyzniukivka Lyceum of the Blyzniukivka Village Council of the Lozova District of Kharkiv Region as part of the STUDBIZ Ukraine project.

The training raised the issue of identifying social problems and solving them through social entrepreneurship, which can be organised by students themselves at their school. As part of the training, students had the opportunity to learn
- What is entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship (SE)?
- Who is a social entrepreneur.
- Examples of already established and operating SSEs abroad and in Ukraine.
- How business solves social problems.
- How does SE differ from social and corporate responsibility or volunteering.
- How to start a social school entrepreneurship at your school.

During the practical part of the training, the students tried to:
- Identify problems using the Problem Tree.
- Analyse problem solving with available resources.
- Generate ideas in a brainstorming session.
- Create a prototype of their SSE in the form of a comic book.

A draw for practical work, a Q&A session and a final reflection were also organised for the students.
The CIOT employees of the ERI “UEPA” in partnership with the “Innovation Generation” NGO became partners of the international project “Social Student Businesses to Support Youth in (Post)War Ukraine” (STUDBIZ Ukraine), implemented by the School of ME with the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ)), and ChildFund Deutschland e.V.
