Teachers and students of the Department of Marketing and Commercial Business joined the round table “Importation of goods for security and defence needs. What you need to know”

On 7 February 2025, teachers and students of the Department of Marketing and Commercial Business of the ERI “Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy” joined the round table on ‘Import of goods for security and defence needs. What you need to know’, which was organised by the Kharkiv Regional Entrepreneurship Support Fund with the assistance of the Department of Economics and International Relations of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration and Kharkiv Customs.

The speaker of the roundtable was Vira NOSOVA, moderator of the Customs Committee of the Kharkiv EBA Office, Head of Consulting Department at “Ilok” LLC.

The following areas were covered at the meeting:

  1. What customs and VAT exemptions currently exist for goods intended for security and defence purposes?

  2. Rules, documents and peculiarities of importing drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as parts and spare parts for UAVs.

  3. Rules, documents and features of parts and spare parts for demining equipment; importation.

  4. Rules, documents and peculiarities of importing parts and spare parts for active means of countering technical intelligence.

  5. Peculiarities of importation of goods under the Law of Ukraine ‘On Defence Procurement’, what goods are included, what conditions the recipient of such goods must meet, documents to be submitted to customs during customs clearance and to the tax authorities during reporting on the intended use.

  6. Non-tariff regulation measures for the import of goods intended for security and defence purposes. Permit of the State Export Control Service for the import of military and dual-use goods. When such a permit is not required.
