From 13 to 17 October 2025, Maryna VASYLIEVA, Deputy Director of the Education and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy”, and Hanna HRINCHENKO, Associate Professor of the Department of Automation, Metrology and Energy Efficient Technologies, took part in a training course on the development of educational courses and academic matchmaking, which was held at the Free University of Amsterdam (Netherlands) as part of the Aurora University Alliance.
During the training, participants learned about modern approaches to the internationalisation of education based on BIPs (Blended-Intensive Programs) — short-term blended mobility programmes; LOUIS Competence Framework (Learning Outcomes in Universities for Impact on Society) — a framework of competencies for increasing the social impact of universities; SEISMIC (Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Scales to Measure Impact Competence) — tools for assessing competencies in the field of social entrepreneurship and innovation; and other flexible learning models.
Within the Peace Education Hub, representatives of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University presented their own educational courses as part of a 30-credit ECTS module on peacebuilding. Agreements were reached with the project coordinators to invite guest lecturers from AURORA Alliance universities to teach specific topics of the educational courses presented.
The experience gained will serve as an important basis for introducing new concepts of teaching educational components at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and deepening international cooperation in the educational environment.
