The coordination meeting discussed the preliminary results of a survey of Ukrainian respondents to study the demand for textile and apparel education in Ukraine.
The main objectives of the survey are to identify the needs and expectations regarding programs, subjects and teaching methods in the field of textile and apparel education, as well as to find out the opportunities for the development of the textile sector in the context of educational needs. Target groups were involved in the survey, including representatives of the textile and apparel industry, educational specialists in the relevant field, students and young professionals in the industry. The results of the survey should form the basis for an effective strategy for the development of educational programs in the field of light industry in accordance with the needs of the modern labour market and industrial requirements.
As a result of the meeting, the main courses that will be developed by Boras University (Sweden) for implementation in the Ukrainian educational system were clarified. The content of the courses will be finalized after a thorough analysis of the survey results. Representatives of the working group also discussed the structure of the website, which will contain information about the project and some details of the signed agreement.
