As part of the international Erasmus+ programme and with the support of the Aurora Alliance of European Universities, a delegation from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took part in the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP). The project, “Designing Courses, Assignments and Feedback for Students Using the LOUIS Competence Framework”, took place from 1 to 5 June 2026 at the Free University of Amsterdam (Netherlands). The Education and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” was represented on the Karazin University team by Deputy Director Maryna Vasylieva and Associate Professor of the Department of Automation, Metrology and Energy-Efficient Technologies, Hanna Hrinchenko.
This intensive course served as a communication platform for educators and academics from leading European higher education institutions. The main focus of the meeting was on integrating the LOUIS competence framework, which enables the effective combination of the development of subject-specific and soft (transversal) skills among students. Over the course of the week, participants updated their own teaching modules, adapted assessment criteria and developed formative feedback tools to implement student-centred learning.
Participation in the programme opens up new horizons for the internationalisation of Karazin University and the modernisation of its educational programmes in line with the criteria of the Bologna Process. The experience gained and European teaching case studies will be integrated into the teaching process at the ERI “UEPA” to improve the quality of higher education and expand international partnerships.
