Students from the Department of Automation, Metrology and Energy-Efficient Technologies, together with their placement supervisor Nataliia Antonenko, are continuing to familiarise themselves with modern manufacturing enterprises in the city of Kharkiv.
The trainees’ working days are meaningful and filled with new professional experiences. During their work placement, the students familiarised themselves with the operations of the components workshop, where they studied the process of manufacturing separators. Particular attention was paid to centrifugal casting technology, after which the students observed the stages of machining the parts — from preliminary to final machining of the separators.
The students also visited the forging and pressing workshop, where they learnt about the operation of induction systems for the ring-shaped induction heating of rings, automated production lines and forging production areas. The measurement laboratory, equipped with up-to-date equipment for quality control and high-precision measurements, was of particular interest.
The work placement gave the students the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the characteristics of modern manufacturing, the principles behind the operation of technological equipment, and the practical application of technological processes in industry.
