Anastasiia Yelahina, a representative of the Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies at the ERI “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, took part in the ‘Training of Trainers’ course on “Developing soft, flex and green skills in young people”.

The aim of the event was to strengthen the competencies of youth leaders and trainers in the field of developing modern skills among young people. During the training, participants worked on developing approaches to:

- soft skills (communication, teamwork, critical thinking);

- flex skills (flexibility and adaptability to change);

- green skills (environmental responsibility and sustainable development).

During the training, participants developed their own educational initiatives and projects, discussed the current needs of young people, and identified the topics that are most important for modern training programmes. Particular attention was paid to training design methodologies, the structure of training sessions, the selection of interactive exercises, and effective engagement with a youth audience.

The knowledge and practical experience gained will contribute to the further development of educational initiatives aimed at supporting young people and helping them develop the skills needed for life and professional fulfilment in today’s world.

The training was conducted as part of the “ProfiTeam” project, implemented by the “Potribni Tut” NGO in cooperation with UNICEF, with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) via the German Development Bank (KfW).
