A workshop entitled “Modern approaches to working with drones and their application” was held at the ERI “UEPA” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University

At the ERI “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, staff from the Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies organised and ran a workshop on “Modern approaches to working with drones and their application”, with the participation of soldiers from the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade.

During the event, students had the opportunity to:

- learn about the features of the DJI Mavic quadcopter and try it out;

- practise their piloting skills in an FPV simulator, which allows them to experience the principles of drone control in conditions close to real life;

- try flying Meteor mini-drones, which are used for basic training and manoeuvrability practice.

Representatives of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade shared their experiences and talked about the role of drones in combat conditions, the specifics of their use on the front lines, as well as the requirements for operators and the importance of proper training.

A separate part of the workshop was devoted to discussing the specifics of a recruiter's work in modern defence structures. Participants learned about the competencies that are important for drone operators, how a team is formed, what requirements are set for candidates, and how specialists are trained.

Thank you to everyone who participated! Keep an eye on our events — there are many more useful and informative meetings ahead.
