The ERI “UEPA” held a master class for students of decorative and applied arts

 

On 1 October, the Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies of the Education and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University held a creative master class in decorative and applied arts for students entitled “Informal Drawing Techniques”.

In the social youth entrepreneurship studio, higher education students immersed themselves in the world of experimental art and tried their hand at various creative techniques. They learned:

- how the spray technique works, adding spontaneity and movement to the paintings;

- the secret of pointillism and how to create entire paintings from small dots;

- what opportunities drawing with non-standard materials opens up;

- how art can be used to express one's emotions and mood.

Guest craftswoman Svitlana Shaforostova, a teacher at the Zatyshno SPACE in Kharkiv, shared informal drawing techniques and held a practical master class on pointillism painting. The master class gave students an opportunity to express their freedom and creativity, experiment, and learn about Ukrainian decorative and applied arts.
