The ERI “UEPA” of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University has won a new Finnish-Ukrainian grant project

 

At the end of June, we received positive news regarding funding from the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) under the TFK programme, funded projects 2025 joint (Finland-Ukraine) project ‘MOTIVET4UA’: ‘Promoting multimodal educational practices and teacher competencies in vocational education and training (VET): Ukraine - Finland Cooperation’.

The project coordinator is Jyväskylän yliopisto (University of Jyväskylä), and the project partners are JAMK University of Applied Sciences, Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav, and V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
The aim of the MOTIVET4UA project is to promote international cooperation between Finnish and Ukrainian higher education institutions, strengthen institutional capacity by improving the competence of teachers in multimodal pedagogy, digital learning and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
The project emphasises research and development, using contemporary data to guide pedagogical practice and reform at the systemic level.
The project coordinator from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is Marina VASYLIEVA, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Deputy Director of the Education and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy”. The basic units for the implementation of the project at Karazin University will be the Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies (CIET) of the ERI “UEPA” and the Department of International Relations.
On 20 August 2025, the first online meeting of project participants was held to discuss actions for project implementation. The first steps are to prepare for the launch of a series of online webinars on ‘Research in the field of VET’ and to review the literature on ‘Pedagogical approaches to responding to learning loss’.
