The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi visited the Festo laboratory at the ERI “UEPA”

 

On 25 July, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi visited the newly created Festo laboratory at the ERI “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” of Karazin University, which was purchased with the financial support of the World Bank. Among those present at the meeting were the Rector of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Tetiana Kahanovska, Advisor to the Rector Vil Bakirov, Vice-Rectors Anatolii Babichev and Vasyl Blyndiuk, and Director of the ERI “UEPA” Denys Kovalenko. The laboratory was presented by the acting head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering Artem Cherniuk.

Oksen Lisovyi expressed his satisfaction with the modern equipment and expressed confidence that it would raise the level of education and research. In addition, the parties discussed the production of training equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers for vocational education institutions.

For reference: the laboratory is designed for training in industrial electrical engineering, automation and mechatronics, pneumatic and electric drives, starting from the elementary level for schoolchildren and continuing with bachelor's and master's degree students. It can also be used for training of technical specialists of enterprises and for scientific research.

Unlike similar industrial equipment, the Festo equipment installed in the laboratory is characterised by a high level of safety, durability and protection against users` improper actions. This makes it ideal for use in the educational process.

The laboratory is installed in the renovated safe space of the Education and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy”.
