V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University has signed an agreement with the Estonian Centre for International Development ESTDEV and become a partner of the Ukrainian-Estonian project ‘Integrating Entrepreneurship Education into Vocational Education in Ukraine’.
At Karazin University, the project will run until 30 November 2026 and involves the development and implementation of a microcredential programme in Entrepreneurship Pedagogy, based on established pedagogical practice and structure, as exemplified by the Estonian model Edu ja Tegu.
In addition to the University, Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University, Tallinn University and Tallinn School of Economics will be involved in the development and implementation of this microcredential programme.
The basic structure for the implementation of the project at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University will be the Education and Research Institute ‘Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy’ and its structural units: the Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies and the Department of Marketing and Commercial Business.
The project also includes research on the integration of entrepreneurship education into the vocational education system of Ukraine, monitoring the implementation and piloting of the Edu ja Tegu programme. Master's students will be involved in the research, and the best students will receive a scholarship as part of the project.
It should be noted that the project focuses not only on the development of practical entrepreneurial skills, but also on the development of entrepreneurial competence - a set of knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to implement value-creating ideas and develop the entrepreneurial spirit of students.
