Representatives of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University - Deputy Director of the Education and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy”, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Maryna Vasylieva and Deputy Head of the International Relations Department Roman Nesterenko - were selected to the working group for the implementation of the International Ukrainian-Estonian project “Integration of Entrepreneurial Education into Ukraine`s Vocational Education System”, which started on 19 February 2025 with the support of the Estonian Centre for International Development.
The aim of the project is to integrate entrepreneurship education into Ukrainian vocational education, to provide young people with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully compete in the labour market or start their own business. The project envisages the introduction of an entrepreneurship course in vocational education institutions and is based on the Estonian programme “Edu ja Tegu”, which has already proven its effectiveness. These are not just lessons about business, but a system that develops entrepreneurial thinking - the ability to see opportunities, creatively approach challenges and implement ideas. The project will allow young people to learn how to create their own projects, think creatively and solve real problems.
On 12 July, the first constituent meeting of the working group was held online under the leadership of the Estonian team. The selected members of the Ukrainian working group, which includes representatives of the Directorate of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, vocational education institutions, higher education institutions, regional training and methodological centres, NGOs, local governments, etc. will focus on developing modern training materials, methodological resources and recommendations for entrepreneurial education in 2025-2026.
These tools will allow Ukrainian vocational education institutions to provide quality entrepreneurial education and become centres of excellence in this area. To pilot the project results, 16 vocational education institutions from Rivne, Lviv, and Zhytomyr regions have already been selected.
