In the period from 21 to 25 November 2024, Deputy Director of the ERI “Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy” of Karazin University, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences Oleksandr KUPRIIANOV, Acting Head of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics, Professor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Olesia NECHUIVITER, Associate Professors of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Halyna SAZHKO and Candidate of Technical Sciences Serhii TROKHYMCHUK took part in the Erasmus+ 2023-1-BG01-KA171-HED-000116354 project within cooperation under the Erasmus+ grant programme held at the Technical University of Gabrovo, Bulgaria.
The mobility programme included a meeting with the Rector of the Technical University of Gabrovo, Professor Iliya ZHELEZAROV, as well as with the Deputy Rectors for Education, Plamen TSANKOV, for Research, Dragomir VASILIEV, and for International Cooperation and Public Relations, Christ NEDEV.
The lecturers had the opportunity to visit the university's educational research laboratories, research and technology centres, as well as a separate research structure of the Technical University - Technopark, which was created to develop innovations and technologies, improve knowledge exchange between academia and the business community. During their visit, the scientists took an active part in the annual UNITECH 2024 International Scientific Conference and gave lectures to students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Electronics.
The educators paid special attention to strengthening cooperation between the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics of the ERI “UEPA” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the Department of Computer Systems and Technology of Gabrovo University. The main areas of discussion with the Head of the Department, Associate Professor Valentyna KUKENSKA and Associate Professor Olena STOIANOVA included the exchange of experience in teaching information and computer technologies; organisation of internships for teachers and students; integration of innovative teaching methods into training programmes in the areas of education. Such meetings promote academic mobility, improve the quality of education and strengthen ties between partner universities. Cooperation between the departments opens up new opportunities for scientific interaction and professional growth.
As part of the cultural programme, the delegation visited the town of Tryavna and the Etar Architectural and Ethnographic Museum. It is here that Bulgaria's only collection of water-powered machinery is located, and it is one of the richest and most well-organised technical collections in open museums in Europe.
