UEPA has won a new Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project Story of the United Europe: From war to integration

 

Representatives of the Department of Local Lore and Tourism Work, Social science of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy won a new Erasmus+ project under the Jean Monnet program (SUEW2I) Module “Story of the United Europe: From war to integration”

The main objective of this project is to develop innovative teaching, enhance multi-disciplinary research and debating activities in area of the History of the United Europe (as a distinctive field of European Studies) in order to involve more students, academy staff and others to this field of research and actively contribute to the EU`s economy and society.

Thus, the new project, with a budget of EUR 25.500 for three years, will help raise awareness, provide knowledge and skill about the European Union.

The module aims to contribute to the knowledge base necessary for building a multicultural approach, economic and social growth, solidarity and sustainable development in EU-Ukraine relations.

We congratulate our entire academic community and especially the project team, associate professors of the Department of Local Lore and Tourism Work, Social science of the UEPA Oleh Tavshunskyi, Olha Kashaba and Yuliia Chernenko, and wish them further success and inspiration.

It should be noted that the aim of the Jean Monnet program under the EU Erasmus+ Program is:

- to intensify the European integration discourse;

- to promote excellence in European integration studies;

- to involve higher education institutions in the study of European integration processes;

- to disseminate the ideas of a United Europe and knowledge about the EU in the wider society (beyond academia and specialized audiences), bringing the EU closer to the general public.
