With the support of the 9ECM Grant Programme, Head of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics, Professor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Olesia Petrivna Nechuyviter took part in the 9th European Congress of Mathematics of the European Mathematical Society, which took place in one of the most famous historical cities of Spain, Seville, from 15 to 19 July 2024. The opening ceremony took place at the Maestranza Theatre, where the European Mathematical Society prizes were awarded to the scientists.
Olesіa Petrivna made a presentation ‘Numerical methods for approximate calculation of multivariate highly oscillatory integrals (irregular case) depending on the type of information about the functions’ at the session ‘Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing’ at the School of Engineering of the University of Seville.
Together with representatives of the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv), V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Vasyl' Stus Donetsk National University (Vinnytsia), Olesia Petrivna had the opportunity to congratulate the Laureate of the European Mathematical Society Danylo Radchenko, a graduate of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, at the International Conference Centre of Seville.
As part of the events of the 9th European Congress of Mathematics, Olesia Petrivna Nechuyviter took part in the satellite conference ‘Recent Advances in Harmonic Analysis’, which took place from 8 to 12 July 2024 in the city of Malaga. At the conference, the Head of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics made a short presentation.
The programme of the 9th European Congress of Mathematics included cultural visits to one of the main architectural complexes in the world - the Plaza de España, the oldest Royal Palace Real Alcázar de Sevilla and the Cathedral of St Mary in Seville. The congress participants also had the opportunity to visit the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Seville and the Metropolitan Umbrella Archaeological Museum. The cultural programme in Málaga included a visit to the Picasso Museum of Málaga, located in the 16th-century Buenavista Palace, and the first-century BC Roman Theatre.
