The online phase of the Erasmus+ BIP (Blended Intensive Program) “Mechanisms for Implementing Universal Theoretical and Practical Approaches to Compliance Management Education at Universities of the European Union and Ukraine” was successfully implemented on the basis of Business School of Wismar University (Germany) on March 6-7, 2024. This virtual meeting brought together representatives of various European universities, promoting international cooperation and enriching discussions on compliance management.
The project was initiated and is being implemented under the leadership and coordination of Professor Dr. Ali Arnaut, Head of the International Management Program at the Wismar University, and researcher Dr. Anna Fomenko. The project is funded by the EU through the Erasmus+ BIP, Emphasizing the program`s commitment to developing global cooperation in higher education, and has attracted participants from Germany, Portugal, Turkey, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Ukraine.

- Budapest Business School (Hungary);
- University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (the Czech Republic);
- Toros University (Turkey);
- Infante D. Henrique Portucalense University (Portugal);
- Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy (Ukraine).
Additional partners from Ukraine were also invited to join the program: Central Ukrainian National Technical University, National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, and the “Professional Network of Research and Higher Education Managers in Ukraine” (PNRM).
UEPA was represented by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Professor Maryna Vasylieva, Head of the Permanent Working Group on Internationalization and Project Activities of the Academy Roman Nesterenko, and Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Management Yuliia Dudnieva.
The online conference on March 6-7 is the first phase of three, followed by a 1-week offline conference in Wismar in April and a final online conference in May 2024.
This phase emphasized the exchange of experience in the field of compliance management between European countries and Ukraine, under the slogan “United by Compliance”. Future discussions will focus on the specific details and needs of the Ukrainian side, with a strong emphasis on the theoretical foundation for improving education in this area.
Special attention was paid to distinguished guests, including Dr. Katarina Barley, Vice President of the European Parliament, Bettina Martin, Minister of Science of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and Frank Junge, Wismar representative in the Bundestag. Dr. Katarina Barley and other guests welcomed the BIP participants, provided information on European research projects, and took part in lively discussions on Ukraine's approximation to EU standards.
