Higher education students Slaviana Paranicheva and Karyna Kalinichenko, with the support of the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy Educational and Scientific Institute at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, have completed a series of creative workshops as part of the “ArtKitchen of the World” project, implemented within the Move On programme with the support of SHL UA and the Youth Empowerment Programme Ukraine.
The “ArtKitchen of the World” project team organized a series of creative workshops aimed at bringing young people together, fostering intercultural communication, and providing meaningful leisure activities. The initiative gave participants an opportunity to explore the traditions of different countries around the world through creative workshops, collaborative activities, and informal communication. The project's goal was to create a welcoming and friendly space where young people could meet, exchange experiences, discover new cultures, and find like-minded people. Each meeting focused on a particular country and combined an educational component with hands-on creative activities.
As part of the project, five themed workshops were held, during which participants had the opportunity to learn about the cultures, traditions, and distinctive features of different countries around the world, take part in creative activities inspired by national traditions, make their own crafts, explore their creative potential, and communicate in a friendly atmosphere.
The implementation of the project highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for face-to-face interaction and collaborative creativity. Such events help young people broaden their horizons, develop communication skills, express themselves, and feel a sense of belonging to a community. The feedback received from participants and their interest in similar events confirm the relevance and importance of cultural and educational initiatives.
The “ArtKitchen of the World” project was implemented within the Move On programme, which supports young people through training, mentoring, and funding for their own initiatives, as part of the Youth Empowerment Programme Ukraine, supported by Schüler Helfen Leben (SHL UA).
The project team would like to express its gratitude to the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies, the organizers, and the donors for their support and for making it possible to bring this idea to life, as well as to all participants for their enthusiasm, openness, and willingness to explore the world together. The completion of the project marked an important step towards promoting creative youth initiatives and creating opportunities for cultural exchange and new connections.
