From 13 to 16 November 2025, representatives of the Department of Marketing and Commercial Business of the ERI “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took part in a working visit to the University of Latvia, which was held as part of the Jean Monnet ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH grant project “European concept of dynamic regulation and coordination of examination of goods in customs affairs” (EDETMS).
The aim of the visit was to deepen academic cooperation, exchange experiences and learn about modern European practices of dynamic regulation. During the visit, participants had the opportunity to join a working meeting and discussions with representatives of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Latvia.
The programme of the visit included learning about:
- European approaches to coordinating and ensuring the educational process;
- the system of training and professional development of specialists in Latvia;
- current scientific research on the digitalisation of procedures and the implementation of risk-oriented regulatory models;
- the practice of interaction between the university and the business environment.
Special attention was paid to discussing ways of implementing the experience of EU countries in national education programmes, in particular through updating the content of academic disciplines, creating joint scientific research and preparing joint publications. Representatives of the Ukrainian side presented the key results of the work within the EDETMS project, outlined national challenges and proposed areas for further cooperation.
The trip contributed to strengthening international partnerships, deepening scientific contacts, and forming platforms for developing joint research and educational initiatives. The experience gained will be used to improve methodological support for disciplines, enhance the quality of professional training for students, and strengthen the integration of Ukrainian education into the European academic space.
We would like to thank the University of Latvia for their invitation and support!
