Representatives of the Department of Practical Psychology and Innovative Health Technologies of the ERI “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy”, assistants Kateryna Abakumova, Marharyta Mykhalenko and Oleksii Mykhalenko, conducted a training session entitled “Me and My Fear: an introduction to the NMT” as part of the Karazin Weekend School.

The participants of the event, 11th graders, worked with our teachers to overcome their fear of exams through artistic and physical techniques.

The students completed several practical exercises:

- “One Word” — to become aware of their emotions.

- “My Fear Has a Face” — to draw their fear and see it from the outside.

- “Anti-Fear” — to create their own resource image for support in stressful situations.

Dance techniques became a separate element, helping participants to ‘shake off’ tension and release emotions through movement. Light improvisation and breathing restored a sense of support and calm.

At the end, participants shared their discoveries in the “Reflection” exercise and determined what would help them during the actual exam.

“When we can talk about fear, we have power over it.”

Thank you all for the warm atmosphere and sincerity!

See you again soon!
